DCBiWomen provides centralized access to information about bisexuality and women's related issues. While we are a social and support group for bisexual women, we follow these important rules:
This support group is for women only. Please let the Group leader
know if you feel any of the principles described on this page have
been violated and we will do our best to correct the error. |

Respect for Opinions and FeelingsIn all our discussions and interactions, we believe that no opinion is wrong. Similarly, all feelings are personal and deserving of everyone's respect. Participants are encouraged to respect others' personal boundaries, and to uphold their own. ConfidentialityIn order for DCBiWomen participants to feel safe, all information disclosed in our meetings, including individuals' names, personal situations, opinions and feelings, are not to be discussed outside group events. However, since DCBiWomen is an 'open group', we cannot be responsible for the occasional person who does not respect these safety guidelines. Additionally, DCBiWomen's profile database of member names and addresses is only for the personal use of women who have attended DCBiWomen events, and is not to be disclosed or used for any other purpose. Information contained in the database will not be shared with any other organization. Any non-direct contacts (i.e. voicemails, emails, newsletter mailings) should not include mention of DCBiWomen without the permission of the recipient. Please view our Website Privacy policy for information regarding this Website. |
InclusivenessWe welcome and encourage the participation in DCBiWomen of all bisexual and questioning women of any age, race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, and everything else that makes each of unique. We believe all women bring a wealth of personal experiences which add to the richness of the group. MentoringMany women find support in making connections with others who may have had similar experiences, or whose experiences provide helpful information as they explore their own lives. We encourage this. Keep it Clean!DCBiWomen is about personal growth and creating community, not about scoring. While relationships outside meetings frequently develop, "come-ons" are not acceptable at DCBiWomen meetings or events. Please review our list of Email Etiquette Reminders before you start emailing members of the group or using the Yahoo List Serve. |
